Agriculture refers to the production of goods through the growing of plants, animals and other life forms. The study of agriculture is known as agricultural science.

Agriculture encompasses many subjects, including aquaculture, agronomy, animal husbandry, and horticulture. Agricultural products include food (vegetables, fruits, and cereals), fibers (cotton, wool, hemp, silk and flax), fuels (methane from biomass, ethanol, biodiesel), cut flowers, ornamental and nursery plants, tropical fish and birds for the pet trade, both legal and illegal drugs (biopharmaceuticals, tobacco, marijuana, opium, cocaine), and other useful materials such as resins.

 
   Horticulture

Horticulture is the art and science of the cultivation of plants.Horticulturists work and conduct research in the fields of plant propagation and cultivation, crop production, plant breeding and genetic engineering, plant biochemistry, and plant physiology. The work particularly involves fruits, berries, nuts, vegetables, flowers, trees, shrubs, and turf.    Soil Conservation
Soil conservation is set of management strategies for prevention of soil being eroded from the earth’s surface or becoming chemically altered by overuse, salinization, acidification, or other chemical soil contamination. The principal approaches these strategies take are: choice of vegetative cover, erosion prevention, salinity management, acidity control, encouraging health of beneficial soil organisms prevention and remediation of soil contamination mineralization and other ways are : no till farming, contour plowing, wind rows, crop rotation, the use of natural and man-made fertilizer, resting the land.
